Thanks to the engagement of our Director of Visual Arts, Steve Lewis, we were able to take part in Nacht der Kunst (NdK) on the Georg-Schumann Str, in September 2020. We held a student exhibition in one of the street’s open venues and our mobile samba band toured the city and the Georg-Schumann Str ending up at the exhibition. We finished off the evening with a Leipzig International School concert featuring our secondary vocal stars. CAS students held a fund raiser for UNICEF and a crafts table for kids.
This year has been full of uncertainty and distance and it was so refreshing to come together again as a school and celebrate the most hopeful of things – art and music. We are incredibly grateful to the two man team at NdK who put together this wonderful event and to our Director of Visual Arts and Director of Music for showcasing the best of LIS.
