US Consul General Eydelnant Visits our Kindergarten

Children of Leipzig International Kindergarten were pleased to welcome US Consul General Timothy Eydelnant at the 14th Nationwide Reading Day (“Bundesweiter Vorlesetag”). It has been a lovely morning as Mr. Eydelnant shared his enthusiasm for reading and for books. He read to our three and four year olds from the book "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" by Eric Carle. For all children this has been a very special and fun experience.

The Nationwide Reading Day (“Bundesweiter Vorlesetag”) is a joint initiative of DIE ZEIT, Stiftung Lesen and Deutsche Bahn Foundation that encourages reading to children and sets a significant signal for the importance of reading. The aim is to arouse enthusiasm for reading and to bring children into contact with the written and narrated word at an early age.
