Support Secondary School as Section Reps
For effective school-home communication and vice versa, your input as parents is needed. The dialogue with PARENT REPRESENTATIVES is vital for us as a school to learn about positives and negatives and to support us in working on the right approach for each class and grade level. Therefore, we are seeking for parent representation in Secondary School, additional to the involvement of all parents in the Parent Association (PA).
In the Secondary School there are Parent Representatives for each year group. Their primary function is to seek feedback, opinions, and ideas from parents and to facilitate the information flow between the parent community and the school. The parent representatives will meet twice per term, one time in the Middle School (G6-8) or the Upper School (G9-12)-teams with the Assistant Principals and one time as the whole group with the Secondary Principal. The minutes from these meetings are uploaded to the Parent Portal.
If you would like to contact the Parent Representatives, they can be reached by clicking on the “Contact Us” button in Parent Portal. In the “Department” drop-down menu, select G6-8 Parent Representatives, G9-10 Parent Representatives, or G11-12 Parent Representatives from the menu options and one of your Parent Representatives will be in touch with you.
If you are interested in becoming a Parent Representative for your child’s year group, please send an e-mail to Ms Vincent at Chelsea.Vincent@lis.school (grades 6-8) or Mrs Schleif at Susanne.Schleif@lis.school (grades 9-12) that contains the following:

3. The following statement:
“Should I become a Parent Representative, I herby give permission to LIS to allow my personal e-mail address to be shared amongst all other Parent Representatives as well as with the parents of the year group which I will represent.”
