What we Offer

The work of the Beyond LIS team falls into three broad and overlapping categories: Careers Education and Guidance, University Admissions and Applications, and Alumni Affairs.

Careers Education and Guidance

Careers Education and Guidance begins early, with a developing programme within the classroom linking subject content to the world of work.  From Grade 8 onwards, students are supported individually with careers advice interviews to help them make their IGCSE and IB subject choices.  In Grades 8, 9 and 10 students are introduced to career planning, CV and letter of application writing via talks and off-timetable events, culminating in their work experience placements at the end of Grade 10.  Students of all ages are welcomed and encouraged to book individual careers appointments to discuss their ideas and plans for their future. Please see further details here.

University Admissions and Applications

The area of University Admissions and Applications assists and supports students in Grades 11 and 12 who are taking their next step into higher education here in Germany or further afield.  This assistance continues for recent graduates of LIS, especially those who have not been able to take the next steps in their final year of school and need support after their graduation.

Alumni Affairs

This is linked to the Beyond LIS team's engagement with Alumni Affairs. The school has a rich and diverse group of alumni who have gone on to do extraordinary things in their lives. The school has already begun to celebrate some of them in Observer articles and on the website, and Beyond LIS plans to continue and develop this work.
