On Saturday, November 9th, the LIS campus was alight with the warm, flickering glow of hundreds of homemade lanterns as our community came together for the annual Lantern Walk. This special evening, inspired by the German tradition honoring St. Martin, the patron saint of generosity, brought families, friends and staff together.

Everyone had beautifully crafted lanterns casting a soft glow as we wound our way through the forest. Leading the way was a rider on horseback, dressed as St. Martin, adding a special touch to the celebration and bringing the story of St. Martin to life.

Back on campus, we shared Martins Hörnchen—a delicious treat tied to the tradition—and even gave singing a try, filling the air with cheerful voices (and a few laughs!). It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and new friends, all joining in to make the night a memorable one.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us!
