Where Our Students Go: The Class of 2026
Our graduates this year have taken up places at some of the most competitive universities in the world.
Leading destinations
Members of the Class of 2026 are joining University College London, ranked among the top ten universities globally, and the Technical University of Munich, Germany’s highest-ranked institution, where three of our graduates will study — in molecular biotechnology, and in management and technology combined with engineering.
Others are heading to the University of Amsterdam, Rotterdam School of Management at Erasmus University — one of Europe’s leading business schools — and WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, consistently placed in Europe’s top twenty-five for business.
In the creative fields, one graduate will study at Parsons Paris, part of an institution ranked among the world’s top five for art and design, and another at Royal Holloway, University of London, reading music and sound design for film, television and interactive media.
This year’s cohort also held offers from NYU Abu Dhabi, the University of Edinburgh, King’s College London, the University of Bristol, LMU Munich, Esade, Hult, the University of Leeds and the University of Nottingham — a reminder of how strongly our students compete in the pool they apply into.
Across Europe
The Netherlands remains a strong draw, with graduates also joining University College Maastricht and Tilburg University, both known for their interdisciplinary liberal arts and sciences programmes — a natural fit for IB Diploma graduates used to holding several subjects and several ways of thinking at once.
Within Germany, students are taking up places study Law at Leipzig University, Cultural Studies at Leuphana Universität Lüneburg, International Relations at the University of Erfurt, Business Managemetn at ISM Dortmund, Fashion Design at SRH Berlin and Software Engineering at Lancaster University Leipzig. Further afield, one graduate is off to the University of Puget Sound in Washington State, and another to the University of the Arts Bournemouth.
No single path
What stands out is the range. Our graduates are studying medicine and biomedical sciences, law, business administration, psychology, physics, molecular biotechnology, software engineering, international relations, sociology, cultural studies, fashion design, and music. One student has begun a nursing apprenticeship at St Elisabeth Hospital here in Leipzig — a route that says something good about how our students think about work that matters.
Taking a year
A meaningful number of this year’s graduates are taking a gap year, and we support that wholeheartedly. Their plans include military service, travel in New Zealand, offshore sailing, and building practical experience before applying to medical school in Germany or Austria in 2027. A year spent well is not a year lost — several of our strongest applicants in recent cycles have been students who took time first.
What it tells us
Our graduates do not go one place. They go everywhere, and they go for reasons that are their own. That, more than any single acceptance letter, is what “Learning to be a Citizen of the World” looks like in practice.
