In August I wrote to you about changing the house names as, for the last year, there have been discussions amongst staff as to whether the current house names are, amongst many things, relatable (do children know who each person is without research) and (gender) balanced.
The same discussions have also taken place with the House Captains and Assistant House Captains. The majority consensus was that it is time for a change.
Therefore, over the last three weeks the Class Teachers have been discussing possible names with the students and collectively we have come up with something we believe everyone can enjoy!
Please note your child will stay in the same coloured house – only the name will change!
Over the coming weeks we hope to develop a number of activities related to these house names so they are embedded in our Primary School life. For now and for anyone who knows Rock-Paper-Scissors (Schere-Stein-Papier), here’s a quick game you could play:
