High School
In the LIS High School, learners follow a rigorous academic programme in Grades 9 and 10 that prepares them for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in Grades 11 and 12. Throughout these years, students continue to apply, deepen and build on the skills, knowledge and approaches to learning developed during their Middle School experience.
The high school programmes foster success with a learner-centred approach to conceptual understanding through a process of guided inquiry, application and reflection. We guide learners by meeting them wherever they are on their personal journeys of growth.
Learners are empowered through behaviours and skills that enable success not only at LIS but beyond; the IB learner profile is at the heart of what we do and our graduates leave LIS as reflective and knowledgeable thinkers, inquirers and communicators. We are proud to build on our middle school curriculum to prepare learners for the IB in G9 and 10, and offer an assortment of subjects such as business management, economics, psychology as well as the extended essay and theory of knowledge in G11 and 12.

Our learners tailor their own learning experience with flexibility over subject choices. These choices are counseled and advised with further study, professional aspirations and passions in mind. Through our enrichment programme, GISST sports provision, form time and, in Grades 11 and 12, CAS sessions (creativity, activity, service), our students develop their learner profile by becoming risk-takers who are balanced, principled, caring and open-minded, ready to solve the biggest challenges of our time.
